St Barths Bucket Regatta

  • When: 12-15 March
  • Where: Saint Barthélemy

Kicking off the spring season is the Caribbean wonder that is the St Barths Bucket. What began as a friendly challenge between owners has evolved into one of the most anticipated superyacht regattas in the world, drawing some of the most striking sailing yachts afloat.

Watch these giants power across turquoise waters in fiercely competitive yet good-spirited racing, then head ashore as Gustavia shifts into celebration mode. World-famous nightlife, barefoot beach bars and steady tradewinds make this a fitting start to the season.

Cannes Film Festival

  • When: 12-23 May
  • Where: Cannes, France

If you are a silver screen fanatic, you will not want to miss the world’s most prestigious two-week celebration of international cinema. For more than seven decades, Cannes has set the tone for the global film industry, premiering future award winners against the sunlit backdrop of the French Riviera.

Beyond the red carpet, the city hums with screenings, private receptions and late-night terrace conversations overlooking the Croisette. It is where film, fashion and finance converge, and where arriving by water adds a certain Riviera elegance to the experience.

Top yacht charter tip Cannes Film Festival: Secure your berth well in advance. During the festival, Port Canto and Vieux Port fill up months ahead, and the best yachts become floating front-row seats to the action. If you can’t berth inside the harbour, anchoring just offshore still gives you a perfect base for tendering into red carpet events and late-night parties along the Croisette.

38th America’s Cup Louis Vuitton

  • When: 21-24 May
  • Where: Naples, Italy

When it comes to yacht events 2026, few sporting events carry the weight of history quite like the America’s Cup. In Naples, that history meets raw velocity. Between races, the energy spills ashore: Neapolitan seafood served metres from the sea it came from, impromptu music in waterfront bars, and a crowd that understands spectacle. The 38th America’s Cup Louis Vuitton proved once again that this event is sailing at its most technical and most theatrical, best experienced from a boat positioned right on the edge of the action.

Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix

  • When: 4-7 June
  • Where: Monte Carlo, Monaco

There is Formula 1, and then there is Monaco. The tightest circuit on the calendar turns the principality into a live stage set, where engines reverberate between apartment blocks and the harbour becomes a floating grandstand. Beyond the track, Monaco hums with private parties, late-night terraces and a guest list that reads like a roll call of sport, film and finance. It is less a race weekend than a cultural phenomenon.

Our Monaco Grand Prix yacht charter tip: Position is everything. The most sought-after yachts secure berths inside Port Hercule, where the harbour sits directly beside the circuit, and the atmosphere is electric all weekend. If a berth isn’t available, anchoring just outside the port still gives you the full spectacle – the sound of engines echoing across the water and front-row views of one of the most glamorous races in the world.

Art Basel Basel

  • When: 18-21 June
  • Where: Basel, Switzerland

The original Art Basel remains the most rigorous and respected fair in the art world calendar. Inside the Messe halls, blue-chip galleries unveil museum-quality works, major collectors move quietly between private viewings, and reputations are made or cemented in a single acquisition.

For collectors and the art-curious alike, it is not simply about what hangs on the walls, but about access: to artists, gallerists and the future direction of contemporary art itself.

  • Where: Yas Island, UAE

The final act of the Formula 1 season rarely disappoints, and in Abu Dhabi it unfolds under lights. As dusk settles over Yas Marina Circuit, the race begins in golden heat and ends beneath a canopy of floodlights, engines echoing across the water.

Though the GP is not technically one of the yacht events 2026, the marina itself becomes part of the spectacle. Superyachts line the circuit, their decks transformed into private viewing platforms and late-night gathering spots once the chequered flag falls. Titles are decided, tensions peak, and the season closes in a blaze of speed and ceremony.
