Each week, we spotlight one yacht worth knowing. Not just for how it looks or what it offers on paper, but for how it shapes the experience of where you are. This week, it’s M/Y Soundwave yacht for charter- a 63-metre full-custom Benetti available with Roccabella Yachts, operating across Greece and Turkey this summer season.
A custom Benetti that stands apart

Delivered in 2015 (formerly 11.11), M/Y Soundwave is a custom Benetti rather than part of a repeat platform. That distinction shows immediately in the profile. The vertical bow shifts the yacht’s proportions forward, giving it a more upright, architectural presence than the softer lines seen across much of the 60-metre fleet. It’s a deliberate decision rather than a stylistic one, and it gives the charter yacht a clear identity at distance.

Inside, designers Candy & Candy reference Art Deco through proportion and structure rather than decoration. Symmetry, clean lines and controlled detailing shape the spaces, but they stop short of feeling formal. It’s a design approach that holds over time, particularly on a yacht intended for extended use.
A layout built around how people actually use the yacht
M/Y Soundwave accommodates 12 guests across six staterooms, with a configuration that allows for more than one way of using the space.

The upper deck is given entirely to the primary suite. Floor-to-ceiling glazing opens up 180-degree views, while a private exterior deck with its own jet pool creates a space that sits apart from the rest of the yacht. It can function independently when needed, which is not always the case at this size range.

On the main deck, a full-beam VIP suite mirrors that sense of volume and is supported by four additional guest cabins. The result is a layout that works across different charter groups, whether that’s families or a more evenly distributed mix of guests.

Movement through the yacht is direct. Circulation between interior and exterior spaces is clear, and there’s no sense of having to navigate the layout to use it.
Exterior spaces that hold their own

The sundeck is set up as the main social space, built around a mosaic-tiled pool, bar and open seating areas. It’s large enough to carry the day without needing to shift elsewhere.
Forward, a second jacuzzi provides a more contained alternative, separated from the main deck activity without being isolated.

At water level, the beach club functions as a usable space rather than a transition point. Direct access to the sea, combined with enough room to stay there, changes how the lower deck is used throughout the day.
This spread of spaces – upper, forward and at water level – gives the yacht range without forcing a particular rhythm onto the charter.
On the water
M/Y Soundwave yacht for charter is set up to make the water easily accessible and usable throughout the day, without needing to reorganise the boat around it.

The beach club sits directly at sea level, so you’re in and out quickly, whether that’s swimming, using the Seabobs or setting up for something more structured. The toy selection covers everything you’d expect at this level: wave runners, flyboard, paddleboards, kayaks, wakeboards, waterskis and towables, along with snorkelling gear and a jellyfish pool for more controlled swimming conditions.

The 8-metre limo tender handles most of the movement. It’s large enough to run guests ashore comfortably, whether that’s for lunch, beach access or moving between anchorages without shifting the yacht itself.
Underway, she cruises at around 14 knots, with a top speed of 15.5 knots. Stabilisation is in place both at anchor and while cruising, so the experience remains steady, particularly over longer distances or when conditions pick up.

Inside, the wellness area is properly integrated rather than added on. There’s a spa with a massage room and mosaic-tiled steam room, supported by gym equipment and yoga and Pilates gear. It’s there as part of the week, not as a separate programme.
What it comes down to is usability. You don’t need to plan the day around the yacht – it supports whatever direction the day takes, whether that’s staying in the water, heading ashore, or covering distance along the coast.
M/Y Soundwave for charter in Greece and Turkey
Operating across Greece and Turkey, M/Y Soundwave sits within one of the most varied cruising grounds in the Mediterranean, where the rhythm of a charter is shaped as much by the coastline as it is by the yacht.

This is a region built for movement. One day might unfold across a chain of Greek islands, with clear water, open anchorages and long, exposed stretches of sea. The next shifts to the Turkish coast, where the landscape pulls in tighter – pine-covered hills, sheltered bays and harbours that feel more contained and atmospheric, particularly in the evenings.
Distances in this part of the world are short enough to keep plans flexible. You can move between anchorages without committing to long passages, or stay in one place and let the setting carry the day. Late lunches ashore, afternoons spent at anchor, or evenings moving slowly along the coastline all fit naturally into the same itinerary.
At 63 metres, SOUNDWAVE has the range and stability to make those decisions as you go. You can cover ground when it makes sense, but there’s no pressure to keep moving. The advantage is having both options – the ability to explore widely, or to settle into a single bay and stay there longer than planned.
Why charter M/Y Soundwave
M/Y Soundwave yacht for charter has been on the charter market long enough to know what works. The awards and track record matter, but more relevant is how the yacht holds over the course of a week.

The layout doesn’t tire, the deck spaces don’t compete with each other, and the way you move through the yacht stays consistent whether you’re at anchor or covering distance. It’s the kind of platform that doesn’t need adjusting once you’re on board.
What stands out with M/Y Soundwave is how composed it feels for a yacht of this size. The upper deck owner’s suite gives real separation when you want it, while the second full-beam suite and remaining cabins keep the rest of the group equally well placed.
For charters in Greece and Turkey, it offers a 63-metre platform that is straightforward to live on, without losing the presence expected at this level.
M/Y Soundwave is available for charter with Roccabella Yachts, from 550,000 euro per week.
